An SOP is a procedure specific to your operation that describes the activities necessary to complete tasks in our association. Any document that is a “how to” falls into the category of procedure. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are step-by-step instructions that act as guidelines for work processes. When members and committees follow the SOP, they produce a product that is consistent and predictable.
These SOPs apply to all WAVA members, whether they are active, perpetual or associate. Any deviation from these policies is not authorized unless specifically approved by a majority vote of the Board of Directors. Furthermore, as thorough as we have tried to be within the purpose and scope of these policies, Robert’s Rules of Order shall be the guiding principles where specific guidance may not be provided.
